The Volt is a fairway driver geared for long, precise placement shots. It can hold a long straight line with a solid forward penetrating fade. Reach for the Volt when precision is needed on long, narrow fairways. The Volt has also proven to be a good forehand disc for several members of the NewDisc team.

Lab Seconds is 100% playable and can be used in a tournament context as long as they meet the PDGA's technical requirements (weight, shape, etc.) — they are therefore not "defective" in a game-related sense.
