The fairway disc driver is a faster and more aerodynamic disc than its brother midrange driver. However, it is still more controllable than the distance driver. It is flatter and has a wider strap than the midrange, but still comfortable to hold in the hand.

The fairway driver is good for people who have good control of the midrange, but want to add some more length without compromising too much on control.
If you do not have enough arm strength to throw the distance driver optimally or are simply new to frisbee golf, then the fairway driver is the right choice to get good length.

It is recommended to take your fairway driver out of your disc golf bag when you have to cover a distance of 70m. as well as still wanting control and not full smashing like with a distance driver.
